Fastum^® Gel 

Fastum^® Gel is a drug for local treatment in adults of pain with the following indication.

Indication: muscular pain in the context of lumbago, pain of skeletal muscles, pain of soft tissues of the locomotor and supporting apparatus after contusions, strains and sprains, in case of stiff neck e.g. after sports and accident injuries.

Warning Fastum^® Gel (ketoprofen): Photosensitivity reactions have been reported with topical application of the active ingredient ketoprofen after sun exposure. For this reason, it is necessary to pay special attention to the following safety precautions and warnings when prescribing and to pass them on to your patients:

• History of photosensitivity reaction
• Protect the treated skin areas from light (sunlight, hazy sunlight, UV light in solarium) during the treatment and for two weeks afterwards
• Wash hands thoroughly after each application
• Do not use the product with an occlusive dressing
• Discontinue treatment immediately if a skin reaction develops, such as erythema, pruritus and burning sensation, and contact a physician
